Mirror, Mirror


Mirrors aren't my best friend. I never liked looking at it, seeing my reflection staring back. I would see every flaw that others might not notice. Staring back at me was all of my secrets. There are days I could look past and see God's beauty, grace, and blessings.


When I tried to loose a few pounds, I carried the burden along with extra calories. Stress my lack of confidence, and desire to hide. I never wanted to take pictures, which added even more weight. I knew I had to do better, and it had to start with me.


So I did just that, starting with me. As a result, I feel amazing, and my confidence is at its highest level. I am so proud of where I am on my journey. I see more and more improvements in how I look and feel each day.


I approach all aspects of my life with a fresh perspective. A mirror that only reflects the new and does not reflect the old. I have outgrown my old self and don't regret it. I am choosing to elevate myself to the next level. The one thing about this life; it moves on regardless of what I do. I will be on top of things and enjoy each day I am graced.


Self-care is an essential and productive part of life, and it is important to remember that when it is neglected, you can start to feel off-balance. Here are some tips to help you take care of yourself:

  • Turn imperfections into perfection affirmations by accepting them. It is key to being kind and gentle with yourself and recognizing that everyone has flaws and makes mistakes. Acknowledge these and accept them as part of who you are.

  • Do positive self-affirmations daily. Spend some time each day focusing on positive things about yourself and your life. This will help to build your confidence and self-esteem.

  • Do something that makes you happy. Make sure to do activities you enjoy and feel healthy. This could be anything from gardening to playing an instrument to reading a book.


Surround yourself with positive energy and things you enjoy. Make sure to fill your space with things that make you feel happy and comfortable and promote positive energy. This could mean listening to uplifting music, burning scented candles, or displaying artwork that brings you joy.


Self-care is the key to balance and productivity. Practicing these tips will help you take care of yourself and your mental and physical well-being.


Don't forget to live life on purpose every day. Most of all watch how you speak to yourself. Be kind.
