Say her name!

Say her name! Dr. Antonette "Bonnie" Cadia-Bailey

VP of Student Affairs at Lincoln Univesity
Dr. Antoinette "Bonnie" Cadia-Bailey

Dr. Antoinette "Bonnie" Cadia-Bailey passed away on January 8, 2024. Not from an illness, she was not sick, she was bullied. Unfortunately, Dr. Cadia-Baily un-alived herself that day.

This story hit me to the core! I cried, and I prayed for her soul, her family, and her friends. Why?

Dr. Cadia- Bailey, was Vice President of Student Affairs at Lincoln University. Now documents have surfaced written by Candia-Bailey on the day she took her own life. These documents outline that University President Dr. John Moseley caused “enough harm and mental damage.”

Having been the victim of this type of bully, I unfortunately know all too well the impact of a toxic work environment. Depression, helplessness, panic attacks, and lack of support from Human Resources or Leadership.

There is no reason for this bullying to be allowed. Dr. Cadia-Bailey should have been provided support and disciplinary action should have taken place before January 8th.

In my situation, I too never received support from Human Resources or Leadership. The impact on my health was obvious. What happened to my situation? God placed another opportunity before me and I was able to escape. The lingering impact and it's an ongoing healing process. There are still things that trigger me. The healing continues and it was not an easy road.

I pray that justice is served and all those responsible are held accountable. Say her name, Dr. Antoinette "Bonnie" Cadia-Bailey! Rest in Heaven, my Queen.
