Just because they forgive you does not mean they don't have to heal from the hurt you cause.
And you sit back and continue to lie and think they are stupid that they don't know.
They wonder if you laugh with others at their expense.
Saying it's okay because they can't hear or see.
But guess what God does.
For every lie, every hurt, broken promise, and pain,
I forgive myself for believing in you.
When your heart is pure, it's hard you want to see only the good and then to be shattered by the lie.
So now, my prayer is to heal and not stay numb.
Self-preservation is key to my elevation.
And from here, it's UP.
