I run across this quote, and let me tell you, this one hits me to the core. There is nothing worse than someone throwing your "stuff" in your face. It is hurtful to have someone you trust betray your trust. What do I mean? There have been times when I shared my deepest hurts or secrets with someone. Then the first time there is a disagreement, my trauma is thrown back at me to relive.
The safe place you thought you had is now gone.
For this reason, I am being careful what I share.
I realize that the person(s) are now judging me. I did not need judgment I needed a safe place. It's so hurtful.
Remember when someone trusts you with their secret, don't use it as a weapon to traumatize them again.
So here is where I am at in this stage of my life.

It is a safe place. I use this as a defense against those who throw me under the bus. I will protect my peace.
