This is August 2023, time to check in and review my year. I reflected on the goals I set for myself in January and assessed my progress. I looked at my successes and failures and then identified areas to improve. The best part of this was reviewing my failures. Those were my biggest lessons. I did not have many failures to date, but lessons were learned.
I compared my accomplishments with my vision book and checked off all items I completed. It is such an awesome feeling to see your vision come true. I now plan to break down my next goals into smaller steps and focus on each step to ensure I succeed. I will use my lessons from failures to inform my decisions and make sure I'm setting achievable goals. I'm motivated to continue working towards my ambitions and I'm excited to see what I can accomplish.
Throughout this year, one word helped me immensely: determination. I have learned to persist, even in the face of adversity. I have also discovered the power of resilience and the importance of adapting to change. I will use these lessons to drive me forward and continue to set and reach for greater heights. No matter the obstacles, I know I have the strength and courage to keep pushing forward. I am determined to stay focused, stay positive, and never give up. The future is bright, and I will continue to strive for success.
Here are the steps I used to complete my self-reflection review:
Identified my strengths and weaknesses
Set goals for myself
Identified resources to help me reach my goals
Made a plan to stay motivated and track my progress
Learned from my mistakes and celebrated my successes
So you might want to know my major accomplishments. I launched my podcast on Spotify, Renee Harmony. I published my first Self-Love journal on Amazon. Although sales were very minimal, I learned from this venture. I have become stronger, in mind, body, and soul. My workout program has been spot-on with my awesome BeachBody coach Tamique Chuck.
There were times I questioned my journey, absolutely but I knew I had come too far to throw in the towel. I am now confident in my ability to achieve success and remain focused on my goals. I am proud of myself for pushing through the hard times, and I am looking forward to the future.
As you reflect on your year, what are you most proud of? Have you celebrated those successes? What have been some of your biggest lessons to date? Can you turn them around? Write down your thoughts on paper or in your journal. Make a plan and at the end of the year, I am confident you will see progress. Bring on the new year and celebrate all your successes. Are you ready? Let's go!
Love this! Thank you for sharing! I appreciate you very much! ❤️🙏🏽
Great reflection, Renee and BRAVO.
I've always set short & long-term goals to feel and be successful in my efforts. I learned this early on from my Dad.
Many often outline projections of a long-term goal, and as we know, life happens, then one may feel defeated and want to start over, which makes their goal unattainable. Short-term goals lend a sense of hope; it inspires us to forge forward.
