Blind faith is a powerful tool that allows us to take risks and trust in the unknown. It can help us move forward when faced with adversity and give us the courage to change our lives. It can also give us the strength to believe in ourselves and our abilities.
This is what I have always heard about blind faith. While reading my recent book, The Voice of Knowledge by Don Miguel Ruiz, my perspective opened to another possibility.
What if blind faith was a lie? There is no direction, and we could be lying to ourselves.
Taking a leap of faith is different. There is a direction, there is a plan, and there is not a lie told to yourself about the potential outcome. You had a vision and are moving forward to make it happen. You have decided to take action and are committed to making things happen. You trust in yourself and your abilities to make it a reality.
With blind faith, there is no plan or direction. You are trusting that something will happen without any knowledge of what that something might be. Taking a leap of faith is different. You have a clear vision of where you want to go and a plan in place. You are confident that the outcome will be positive.
In the darkness are all of the lies you told yourself about your faith buried inside yourself. Faith is the force you should have on every word spoken about yourself, whether out loud or in your head.
Just as you are what you eat, you are what you think and your faith should stand on resilience. It is the only thing that will keep you from drifting away from your true self. Your faith should be unwavering, even when life throws you a curveball. It is the foundation that will help you stay on the right path.
When you agree on who you are, the rest is easy. Faith will carry you forward to accomplish your life's goals. Faith holds our belief together. That belief in yourself and your awesomeness. All are based on positive words and faith. Just imagine what you can do!
